The Tank is a heavily armored vehicle, that Bond can utilize for his own use. When fired, the shell will fly out of the cannon. This weapon is similar to a combination of a grenade launcher and rocket launcher, it fires shells in an arc like the grenade launcher but they explode on contact with anything like a rocket launcher.
Bond can run over enemies with the tank, thus squishing them. In addition, being in a tank makes Bond heavily armored, making him highly resistant (but not invincible) to gunfire or explosives.
Appearances
Runway - found somewhere near the other runway exit (slightly behind the facility itself.) Note that the other Runway exit is closed and can not be open. It is assumed that it may have been used for the trucks.
Streets - found near the archives.
Notes
- The Tank Cannon doesn't actually require the tank vehicle itself to work; it is available with the All Guns cheat, with the shells simply shooting out of the player character's face. However, the tank's armor and running-over abilities require the vehicle itself.
- The Tank Cannon itself, will not clip through walls, and instead actually get stuck there, unless it is moved to a different side.
- Tanks are never used by any infantry in GoldenEye 007.
- The damage when inside the Tank is roughly 1/4 the amount you normally take.
- If Bond gets out of the Tank while using the cannon, he will automatically switch to the previous weapon in the roster. If the All Guns cheat is active, though, he will always draw a pair of Moonraker Lasers instead of the Taser.
